Intro to Quilting: Popsicle Sticks Quilt

Have you ever wanted to start making quilts of your own, but don’t know where to start? We’ve got you covered. In this class, you’ll learn the techniques to make your very own 48” x 64” quilt top using precut fabric called “a jelly roll.”  You’ll learn some of the basics of quilting, including some color theory, cutting and piecing, and some of the necessary tools to help you create a beautiful throw.  At the end of the day, you’ll be well on your way to completing a beautiful and fun quilt.

  • When: Saturday, January 11th 9:30am-3:30pm

  • Instructor: Diane Fernald

  • Fee: $99 + cost of materials ($104 if you need a machine)

  • Prerequisite: Basic sewing skills and familiarity with sewing machine required. Comfortable sewing straight lines and smaller seams.

  • Ages: 16+
